Frequently Asked Questions

Can I bring my cat with me into the lounge?

No. We have very strict guidelines for our rescue partners to follow in order to ensure the health and well-being of all the kitties temporarily staying with us.

I can't keep my own cat anymore... Can I give him to you guys to put up for adoption?

No, but we can help give you information for various rescues that may be able to assist in re-homing your cat.

Why is there an entry fee into the lounge?

Running a business is very expensive. The entry fee helps to cover the cost of running the lounge (lease, wages for staff, etc) and keeping the business going.

How cancelations works?

To cancel your appointment, you must email us (meow@purrfectocatlounge.com) 48 hours prior to your reservation to get a full refund.

The refund usually takes 5-10 days to process and appear back in your account.

I'm interested in adoption, what's the process?

If you are at our cat lounge, tell the cat rangers about your interest in a specific cat and they'll let you know which rescue your potential adoptee belongs to. Then, you can easily fill out an online application through our QR code displayed in the lounge or through our website.

If you made up your mind after you left the cat lounge, simply  give us a call or email us  and we'll let you know which rescue your future fur baby belongs to.

Our rescue partners  will reach out to interview you in order to figure out if you and the cat are a purrfect match and they will be your point of contact for any questions about medical records etc.

Cats are a lifetime commitment, so it's always good to give it some thought before diving in.

Why is there an age requirement of 21?

Our rescue partners and us  put a lot of time and effort into our cats  and we want their future owners to be able to be financially and emotionally ready to have a pet

What is the adoption fee?

  • $135 for kittens under 1 year and $100 for cats over a year (Kingdom Rescue)

  • $150 for kittens under 1 year and $130 for cats over a year. (Fuzzy Texan)

Why are your fees so high? We can adopt a kitten/cat at the municipal county shelter for less.

Our rescue partners are  private rescues that rely on donations. When they  don't get donations, they cover the costs privately. The cost of veterinary services has gone up all over and the adoption fee covers just a fraction of what they spent. Public shelters have government funding and veterinary staff on hand so they can keep their costs low. We hope you understand.

What does the adoption fee include?

Age appropriate vaccines/Fecal Testing/Dewormer/Spay or Neuter/Flea Prevention/Microchip and Combo test.

Are your cats free from FIV and Feline Leukemia?

Yes. Only combo negative cats go to the Cat lounge.

Are your cats litter trained?

Yes!

Why do I have to schedule a pickup with the Lounge for pickup after approval?

Our Lounge runs on a tight schedule and we have a limited capacity of visitors allowed at a time so we choose the best time for you to come in.

What if I have a question or an issue after I take my cat home?

The rescue team member that interviewed you and approved you will be your point of contact for any questions or concerns that you may have

I have other question, can you help me?
